NRG Stream Room

2022
Experience Design

In 2022, NRG—already a powerhouse in gaming and entertainment—partnered with Rockstar Energy to produce the “Sound Series,” a hybrid live gaming + music activation. For this, I led the experience design on the NRG Stream Room: a live streaming set inside NRG’s Content Castle in L.A., built not just as a backdrop, but as an immersive, flexible space that felt alive, authentic, and designed to serve multiple roles.

The room needed to do a lot: live gaming, interviews, music performances, and casual hang-outs. My job was to take that messy brief and turn it into something visually compelling and functional. I designed everything from lighting direction, layout, set components, props, textures, and materials — selecting surfaces, color palettes, and details that reinforced the brands’ energy and aesthetic. I shaped zones within the space so that camera angles, sight lines, and lighting all played off each other—letting the room feel cinematic during performances, personal during interviews, energetic during streaming, and casual but intentional during downtime moments.
I worked cross-functionally with production, operations, technical teams, and brand partners to ensure the design was not just beautiful but buildable and usable. We coordinated install logistics, lighting rigs, furniture, tech integration—ensuring the space could shift between modes seamlessly, still preserving visual identity.
The result: a branded environment that amplifies storytelling. In the NRG Stream Room, every stream, interview, and moment feels like it’s part of a crafted world—one designed to elevate content, embody brand vibe, and make viewers believe they’ve stepped into something special.
