OZY Fest 2020

2020
Branding

OZY Fest was designed as a fun, summer-ready festival—but with a unique twist: it had to feel equally right for chart-topping musicians and heavyweight political figures. My challenge as Creative Director was to build a brand world that balanced both—playful enough to capture the energy of a music festival, yet polished and credible enough to host serious conversations about culture, politics, and ideas.

I led the creative strategy and execution across every touchpoint: branding, stage and experiential design, marketing campaigns, merchandise, video content, and the festival website. I partnered closely with engineering and managed a small product team to design, build, and launch the site, ensuring it worked seamlessly across ticketing, lineup reveals, and content updates. The website became the central hub for the event, carrying the same visual system as the physical and digital assets, and making the brand experience feel unified end-to-end.
The visual identity pulled from bold colors, clean typography, and flexible motifs—elements that could scale from a lively Instagram teaser to a panel backdrop or merch line. Working cross-functionally with production, talent, and marketing, I translated the big ambition of OZY Fest into a consistent creative thread.
The result was a holistic system that made OZY Fest feel like both things at once: a vibrant summer festival and a credible cultural forum. Every detail—from the website to the stage screens—was designed to bridge that duality, creating a cohesive experience where audiences could come for the music, stay for the ideas, and feel part of something bigger.
